RECOMMENDED RESOURCES
School Wellbeing Cards
Created by Educational Psychologist Dr Jerricah Holder, the School Wellbeing Cards are a child-centred tool designed to help children and young people communicate what school feels like for them. Through a structured card-sorting activity, they can help uncover strengths, barriers, worries and protective factors that might otherwise be difficult to put into words.
Why we recommend them
We like these because they keep the child’s voice at the centre while giving adults a practical framework for listening, understanding and responding. They can be particularly useful when exploring school distress, attendance difficulties, anxiety or changes in wellbeing, and they fit closely with the kind of thoughtful, relational practice Solas Way values.
